Hrithik-starrer ‘Krrish 3′, released on November 1 just in time for Diwali has really raked in Rs.269.9 crore, more than expected returns for Rakesh Roshan, setting his eyes firmly on the next sequel ‘Krrish 4′.
The film grossed in the opening weekend about Rs.72.8 crore and as it entered the 16th day on Saturday, the box office collections were still ringing in gold for the makers whose hardwork proved worth the wait. The movie is certain to reach the figure of Rs.300 crore in a week’s time and begin its new journey to create new target for ‘Dhoom 3′ to follow.
The film released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu raked in total Rs. 231.46 crore in domestic box office collections while it did repeat similar performance abroad with Rs.37 crore. The total earnings in the last 16 days of its release proved the film’s blockbuster status, making it an evergreen grosser throughout its run in many theatres.
