Vijay’s ‘Jilla’: the build-up to Pongal release begins

When it’s a film from mass hero Vijay, it’s a big deal in Kollywood. More so if it’s a festival release. As if to squash any doubts that Vijay’s ‘Jilla’ may not make it for Pongal in January 2014, the makers quickly arranged the audio release of the film at a low-key event in Chennai. It also doubled as an occasion when the Ilayathalapathy – known for his philanthropic work – made donations to some film producers who had fallen to bad times.
