Actor-producer Aamir Khan, who was last seen in 'Dhoom 3', talks about Oscar nominations


Aamir Khan, who stays away from award functions, says an Oscar nomination provides an opportunity to a film to get more viewers.

Aamir is one of the few Indian filmmakers to win an Oscar nomination - 2001 period drama 'Lagaan' in the Best Foreign Language Film category.

"For me, the Oscar is a window from which your audience increases...I see it in that way only," Aamir, currently basking in the success of 'Dhoom 3', told reporters in a group interview. Read more on MSN

Govinda rebuffs actor-producer Salman Khan's offer to play the lead in the Hindi remake of 'Shikshanacha Aaicha Gho'

Actor-producer Salman Khan, who is all set to produce the remake of Mahesh Manjrekar's Marathi film 'Shikshanacha Aaicha Gho' in Hindi, says he approached Govinda to play the protagonist but he refused the offer.

"I approached Govinda but he refused it, seriously. For the last three years I have been after Govinda to do the film but he said that he didn't like the film," said Salman, who will be seen in a guest appearance in the Hindi remake. Read more on MSN

Salman Khan says he is not interested in getting married and is happy being single.

"I am not interested in getting married or having a girlfriend. I am loving my single status. In 30 years I must have been single...I am loving it. I am absolutely having a blast...You have no idea how I am feeling," Salman said in an interview.

 Bollywood actor Salman Khan Monday urged his fans to admire him from a distance.


Salman had Sunday visited Nagpur for the promotions of his upcoming film "Jai Ho" when fans went crazy and chased him, leading to chaos.

"I request and advice all my fans to admire me from far because I can't see kids and everyone getting pushed and hurt.

If all this keeps happening, I think I should stop visiting cities.

Earlier, the actor had to shed some kilos while shooting for Prawal Raman's next project. Now, he has been asked to gain 10 kgs in a month.
