Filmmaker Anees Bazmee must've been looking forward to cast both Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha for his upcoming film Welcome Back. But things didn't quite turn out that way.
According to reports, producer Firoz Nadiadwala and Bazmee were in talks with the veteran actors for this sequel to 2007's 'Welcome'. While Amitabh Bachchan didn't hold back, Rekha reportedly sighted an issue with dates and withdrew. Rekha's dates are now reportedly clashing with Indra Kumar's film, Super Nani.
While this has yet to be confirmed by all parties involved, it would've been a treat for cinema-goers to see Bollywood's original romantic pair star in a movie together again. The pair was last seen together in the Yash Chopra directed 'Silsila'.
