Abhishek Bachchan back home after spending New Year in Dubai

After a memorable New Year's celebration, actor Abhishek Bachchan is back home with wife Aishwarya Rai and daughter Aaradhya.




The 37-year-old actor had headed to Dubai for a holiday following the release of 'Dhoom 3'.

"Back home, back to work, thank you One & Only Dubai for such a memorable new year," Abhishek tweeted today.

Earlier, the junior Bachchan had expressed his gratitude after receiving a special treatment on the New Year's Eve.

Veena Malik weds Dubai based businessman

Veena Malik on December 25 tied the knot with a businessman in Dubai, according to a media report.

The 29-year-old actress, best known in India for her appearance in 'Bigg Boss', and businessman Asad Bashir Khan Khattak were married in a court in Dubai, Geo News channel reported.

The channel aired footage of the couple flashing their wedding rings and meeting relatives.

Khattak, who runs businesses in Dubai and the US, is the son of a friend of Malik's father.

"I'm more than happy today, I think I'm the happiest girl in the world," Malik told the channel outside the court.

Seen in films like "RockStar", "London Paris New York" and "Yeh Saali Zindagi", she said: "I love intimate ceremonies where all the loved ones come together and have fun."

"I have seen some of my friends getting married and they had the worst time at their own wedding. But when it is intimate, it is fun and the bride and the groom enjoy the most. That's what I would want," she added.

"No, no I am very single," said the actress who was recently seen in Akshay Kumar starrer "Boss".

Kamal Haasan daughter Akshara Haasan to make acting debut in Balki

Kamal Haasan and Sarika’s younger daughter Akshara will make her acting debut very soon.

Her parents had felt that Akshara was more interested in direction. Since older daughter Shruti was already an actress, Akshara’s filmmaking potential would have nicely rounded off the family’s creative ambit.

Sarika had put her on to her friend (filmmaker) Rahul Dholakia, with whom she had worked in Parzania and Society. Akshara assisted Rahul Dholakia and the whole family thought she was heading towards a career in filmmaking. But then K Balki spotted Akshara and offered her a role in his new film. Akshara took the plunge, says a close friend of Kamal Haasan’s family.

Interestingly, Akshara has been paired opposite Dhanush. Dhanush is a dear friend of Akshara’s sister Shruti, and also the son-in-law of Kamal Haasan’s rival Rajinikanth. the past six months, there has been a lot of speculation about R Balki's next film and his star cast, but Balki has chosen to remain silent all through. Now that he has his cast and script in place, he spoke to TOI about his next untitled film, which will feature the extremely talented Dhanush with Kamal Haasan's second daughter Akshara Haasan. The film also features the legend Amitabh Bachchan playing an equally important role and, as Balki said, the film has three leads and will see the magical combination of Dhanush with Mr Bachchan.   The shooting is expected to start next month.
